PalletSpec

Sources & method

Where every dimension comes from, how we choose one number when spec sheets disagree, and how the load plans are worked out.

Ranges

Interior dimensions, tare and payload differ by manufacturer and build year. For each value we show the median of accepted sources and the range. Values were rejected when a source contradicted itself (for example payload ≠ gross − tare) or disagreed with all other sources. Load plans use the smallest published inside dimension, so they hold for every unit.

On each container, trailer and pallet page the typical value comes first. Beside it, a small track shows one dot per published value between the lowest and highest, with the range or the number of agreeing sources in words. A figure with one dot comes from a single source. The short list of points under each page title is chosen from the data for that unit: records, near-records, ties, units with an identical floor and the pallets that fit best and worst. Where two units or pallets have exactly the same counts, the full fit list appears on one of them and the other links to it.

Loading metres on the pallet pages are the metres of a 2.4–2.48 m wide European trailer floor that one pallet uses in a uniform pattern, three abreast or two abreast.

Load plans

Floor positions come from an exact search over every row and lane layout of the floor, at zero clearance, mixing orientations where that helps. The practical count adds 20 mm of play to each pallet side. Stacking uses an assumed 1.2 m unit height. Real loading also depends on door width, wheel arches, load securing and weight limits.

Example: EUR1 pallets in a 40ft high cube. The same floor gives three answers depending on the question asked.
